BIOGRAPHY

Carolyn Pawlik is a senior litigation associate at Jia Law Group with a focus on immigration litigation and removal defense. Before going into law school, Carolyn received her Bachelors of Science from St. John's University. She then pursued law and graduated from New York Law School with her Juris Doctor degree in 2014. She is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.

 

Carolyn has litigated hundreds of removal defense matters before the Executive Office of Immigration Review throughout the United States. She has assisted immigrants in asylum, cancellation of removal, withholding of removal, convention against torture, and in obtaining special immigrant juvenile status. She has also helped immigrants obtain lawful permanent residence ("LPR") in the United States via family based petitions and PERM. Additionally, Carolyn assists in civil litigation matters such as family law, matrimonial law, and custody disputes. She also assists in a wide range of criminal matters. 

 

Before her time at JLG, Carolyn successfully advocated for non-immigrants and obtained Hranka waivers for those who were barred from entering the United States. Prior to joining JLG, Carolyn worked as a civil litigation associate at Marzec Law Firm, P.C., where she handled high networth divorce matters, estate and probate matters, commercial litigation, and contract disputes. 

Carolyn is fluent in English and Polish.
